Post Fukushima follow up event

I am proud that Jun Arima, Director General, Japan External Trade Organisation, who was on the University of Sheffield panel with Dr Hironoka on 23rd May wants to update us in Sheffield on the daunting challenges Japan faces in terms of energy security, economic efficiency and environmental protection.

In his letter, Jun Arima adds that the Government of Japan is launching a national dialogue on their future energy mix and expect to finalise their future energy plan by late August.

Given the high level of interest to follow-up on this vital issue and coupled with Jun Arima’s very generous offer to speak for us again, we wish to organise a further event  on this vital issue affecting all of us probably during November or early December.

This only came about because we sent thank you cards to speakers and everyone else who worked so hard behind the scenes to organise the event on 23rd May.
