SCC Scrutiny Cttee Agenda – 17 Sept

Once again our thanks go to Alan Kewley for circulating Sheffield City Council’s full agenda for its Scrutiny Committee Meeting on 17-Sept which is now on their website:  http://meetings.sheffield.gov.uk/council-meetings/scrutiny/culture-economy–sustainability/agendas-2012/17th-september-2012-special.
Also included is the Council’s Cabinet Meeting 22-Aug 2012 – Draft minutes  at which public questions were raised on this subject and a special meeting of the council’s relevant Scrutiny Committee has been called on 17-Sept to reconsider in more detail the decision about the future of Sheffield Buses made at the Cabinet meeting on 22-Aug, which has been “called in” –
Attended by the public & some local councillors, who felt this important decision was being rushed through to meet an artificial deadline before focus groups, like the council’s ‘Sheffield on the Move’ forum, have had an opportunity to discuss & understand the issues.

About actionforinvolvment

We're an independent think tank, founded in 2006 to bring people in our communities together with policymakers and stakeholders. We create space often in a workshop format to pool ideas, develop networks and tackle hot topics. Since 2009, we’ve focused on the sustainability agenda such as: climate change, energy, housing, technology, transport with interest in:education, health, welfare, regulation and enforcement. Our latest project is funded by the Royal Academy of Engineering Ingenious Grant and our next event on 27th June 2013 includes George Monbiot with other high level environmental policy makers.
