Sheffield City Council are offering a Voluntary and Community Sector and Providers Event to evaluate the difficult decisions it’s going to take with next year’s budget as they plan for the future with reduced funds.
They want us and as many other people and organisations to play a role in shaping this future and are inviting everyone to the Council Budget Conversation at Sheffield Town Hall on Wednesday 11 September at 5.30–6.30pm to launch the 2014/15 budget, with events for voluntary and community sector organisations and key stakeholder organisations which will offer:
- A welcome from senior Councillors
- A presentation from John Mothersole, the Council’s Chief Executive sharing the scale of the challenge we face
- Chance to comment on the Council’s overall approach to the changes they’ll be making over the next few years and how we can best engage residents.
As the Council moves in to autumn they will circulate details of proposals as they develop with consultations on specific proposals on their website https://www.sheffield.gov.uk They want as many different people to attend each organisation can only send two people.
