Magna Centre get Engineers out There – 31st Oct

For the launch of our four pop-up events to take engineers Out on the Street, we’re going to the Magna Science Education Centre on Thursday 31st October with systems engineers that we’ve recruited from IBM, Machine Works and others.

Keen to help children develop a hands-on approach to learn the value of science and technology, they will do so by developing interactive play and competition with children and their parents.  We will use Jitterbugs, Makey Makey, “Scratch” – a simple computer software to learn the basics of computer coding and game design as well as the “AI car” computer software, which IBM is developing to teach children the basics of computer coding and game design AI Car uses a series of demands to direct a car around a track. To learn more about IBM’s AI Car visit their youtube demo.
