Sheffield City Council’s proposed changes to its Streets Ahead Winter Maintenance Service and public consultation. Details of the proposals can be found at www.sheffield.gov.uk/winter. A public consultation will run from Monday 2 June to Friday 25 July 2014. Proposals have been designed to ensure we continue to provide an effective Winter Maintenance Service that reaches the vast majority of people within the city, whilst still achieving the efficiency savings needed.
The proposals include details about:
- Reducing our Priority 2 precautionary gritting routes
- Reviewing the location and number of grit bins across the city
- Not recruiting any new Snow Wardens
They would appreciate your feedback on their proposals and encourage you to complete the online questionnaire. They would also appreciate sharing details of the proposals and consultation with members of your community group and encourage them to take part.
They are also holding two public drop in session meetings to enable you to obtain further information about the proposals and also to share your views with them on:
- Wednesday 18 June – 6pm to 8pm, Town Hall
- Thursday 19 June – 9am to 12noon, Town Hall
To register your interest to attend one of these events email: winter@sheffield.gov.uk
Please note all responses must be completed and returned by Friday 25 July 2014.
